Europe, the state and the region of Brittany support Jean Burel's new cannery

This is 30 years ago, Jean Burel created the JB. Océane in Concarneau.

For the thirtieth anniversary of the company, Jean BUREL saw his project for a new cannery come to fruition, at the entrance to La Boissière, still in CONCARNEAU.

This project, which has been developed over a long period of time, was made possible with the support of the Brittany region, for the building, through the SEMBREIZH, an organisation specialising in property investments in Brittany.

The new cannery opened its doors in January 2021, having integrated all its new production facilities and fitted out its new 120 m2 visitor area. The Jean BUREL and Algo d'Aure ranges (with organic ingredients) were thus able to flourish with greater visibility and notoriety.

Jean BUREL wanted to highlight the work of all the JB Océane staff, by emphasising their specific know-how, by developing collaboration with local players (museum, associations) and by promoting the region, several reception areas were created (views of production, video area, tasting counter, "JB Océane partners" display, exhibitions, etc.).

To contribute to the financing of this visit area, Jean BUREL has requested assistance from the DLAL FEAMP (Europe-Region-Cornouaille Country partnership and the European Maritime Affairs Fund) for an amount of €51,543.16, for which Europe is contributing 50%, with the Brittany region contributing equally for the remaining 50%.

The support of the Brittany Region is therefore twofold.

This DLAL FEAMP assistance has enabled the structuring of the service providers' proposals, thanks to exchanges with the services of Quimper Cornouaille Développement.
